Aquarius energies in full swing: The season of epiphanies

Wow, the second month of the year is popping! How are you feeling?! If it feels like the energy has really ramped up the past couple of weeks, you're totally aligned with the energy. Aquarius Season kicked off on January 20th, with the big Sun + Pluto Conjunction at 0° Aquarius, which felt like a shockwave of energy hitting our systems. If you haven't yet caught up on Pluto's potent entry into Aquarius, head here for a recap. Then on January 27th, we had our last remaining retrograde planet, Uranus, one of the planetary rulers of Aquarius, station to go direct in Taurus. The energy is picking up steam and making forward momentum in the cosmic skies, as all planets are in forward motion until our next Mercury Rx in April.

Now, as we move through February, we have a lot more Aquarius energy getting activated with today's Aquarius New Moon, PLUS three notable Pluto Conjunctions with personal planets, Mercury, Mars, and Venus—each meeting up with Pluto at 0° Aquarius as they enter the innovative air sign on February 5th, 13th, and 17th. The first time any of these planets have met up with Pluto in this Zodiac sign in our lifetimes! February is spicing up the plot—bringing deep, sometimes shadowy, yet transformative, and perhaps even shocking changes. Get ready for the epiphanies. ;)

When we're talking about Aquarius energy, we're talking about the collective—our friends, social networks, clubs, and organizations, plus science, technology, and our hopes and aspirations. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, the planet of innovation and liberation, and by Saturn, the planet of responsibility, structure, and karma. Aquarius is the rebel…a rebel with a cause! All of the Aquarius energy being activated at this time is nudging us toward coming together and finding new, radical, out-of-the-box ways of thinking, living, and being in the world.

And yet, with all of the Pluto energy getting stirred at that 0° point in Aquarius, it's reminding us that change is inevitable, yet it doesn't come easily. Pluto, the planet of the underworld, is illuminating shadow material from deep within the layers of our individual and collective souls. Parts that hold pain, patterns, and past history. Pluto wants to transform things here, do something differently and more powerful than it has before. But it might need to stir things up at first to help us break free so that the necessary changes can be revealed.

It almost feels like a checkpoint, where we're being tested and the timelines are splitting. We know we need to go in a new direction in certain areas of our lives, but we might be clinging onto the habitual ways of operating, even though we know it's no longer serving us or the greater good. And the new path might feel uncomfortable or still unclear. Lately, I've been reminded that the tighter we cling to the old, the longer it takes to experience the magic that comes with embracing the new.

Interestingly enough, I pulled the Death card this morning in my daily Tarot spread. We often fear the word “death,” but it's all part of the process. An old way of doing things has to die, to create space for something new to be born. Pluto is helping us see what needs to change and fall away. Aquarius energy and the activations from all the personal planets, is helping us gain radical insights into the future timeline and into what we can do now that's different than before, next level, and supportive of not only our needs but those of the collective. Can we have faith that choosing a new, unknown path will take us exactly where we need to go while leaving room to be surprised by what we don't yet know?

Today's New Moon in Aquarius is a great check-in point to reflect on these themes. The New Moon is Squaring transiting Uranus in Taurus, so you might get an unexpected pop of new, surprising information or shakedowns, in whatever Houses (areas of life) you have 20° of the fixed signs (Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio). Sometimes we can plan things out and make changes step by step, and other times the change can be forced upon us. The energy of the New Moon hints that it can truly go either way. My advice: try to lean into the shifts that want to occur. And as always, I'm here if you need any cosmic support.

Sending love and epiphanies.

xo, Tiffany
